Osteopathy

What is Osteopathy?

At its heart, Osteopathy is a manual therapy designed to restore balance to your body’s structure. We don’t just look at where it hurts; we look at why it hurts. By focusing on the relationship between your bones, muscles, joints, and connective tissues, Osteopathy helps your body’s natural ability to heal itself. Our understanding of these relationships and how things move and function allows us to find when things are NOT moving the way they are supposed to. When we mobilize restricted motion we open up the “kinks in the hose” allowing for improved blood flow, nerve flow and lymphatic drainage which aids in the self-healing of the body.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic tension, or simply looking to optimize your physical performance, our approach is hands-on and highly personalized. We use gentle stretching to build tension into boney restrictions, post isometric relaxation and reciprocal inhibition to reset tissue tension and length, rhythmic joint mobilization, and soft tissue release to improve joint motion quality, circulation and nerve function—helping you return to the activities you love without the “pill-first” approach.

In short: We help your body work as a synchronized unit, rather than a collection of parts.
